    One Day Raw - A beginner's guide to living foods

    It feels like a whole lifetime has passed since I last wrote to you, but the irony of it is that there has been a passing of someone in my life.

    The death of my young, sweet, brave and beautiful friend, Polly Noble, has affected me in more ways that I could've ever imagined...

    From connecting with her in my meditation the day after and her guiding me to write this post, to resetting her passwords for the many groups and memberships, which we were both part of, to preparing raw foods in her own kitchen, with her own Superfoods, using her own recipes... for her own funeral, I spent the past two weeks in a blurry cloud of deep sadness and in total awe of her family's strength.     And what's the book, that's helping me through this weird and emotionally draining time?

    It just so happens to be Polly's very own book 'The Cancer Journey- Positive steps to help yourself heal'. I really recommend it to anyone not only with a cancer diagnosis, but to their friends and relatives also- it's gentle, comforting, hopeful and full of interesting tips, healing techniques and delicious recipes.

    She also left a little bit of a debt behind, so by purchasing this book, you'll be helping not only yourself, but also Polly's family to recover.

    The day I learned about Polly's passing was the day I was gearing up to release my brand new website and show off what's been going on behind the scenes over the past couple of months. This didn't happen for obvious reasons, as all of my priorities shifted. I also no longer had the energy, nor the enthusiasm or any interest for that matter. And that's just not the right attitude for something which required as much love and energy as it did to produce. So I stepped away. Trusting that everything happens in its divine time, I will start making updates to my website slowly (rather than all at once) and the first stage is to share the gorgeous new eBook...     'One Day Raw- A beginner's guide to living foods' is designed by my super clever friend, Nikki Alice and written for you, by me, in a way I wished was available to me, when I first got started with raw foods. 

    I did my best to write it in the most concise fashion, because a beginner's guide should be far from overwhelming.

    Depending on the equipment you have handy, I've included 2 x menu plans, one for a blender and the other for a juicer, a shopping list for each, plus some of my favourite snack ideas.

    The shop owner saw me do this and came right out to give back what I paid him for slicing the melon. It was only £1, but it was enough to affect me to the core and more than enough to remember the knowing look in his eyes forever.

    I floated home, thinking only about how beautiful the world is and how lucky I am that I get to play in it.  It also got me thinking about my own mission, which is to inspire positivity and ignite so much love within everyone around me, that it gets them to do kind things for their body and their planet. It always felt like a no-brainer that the best possible start for that is a cleanse for your body. A way to clear out what's giving you toxic thoughts and make room for more beauty...

    P.S. You know that hair salon visit I was just talking about? My hair is all gone!! Well not quite, but I went in for a trim and there is now 14 inches less of it. Thanks to the lovely (and err.. not so lovely) FB comments to my question about how short I should cut it, I discovered about the various charities who make wigs for children with cancer. I chose a local charity in Sussex, energetically detached myself from the hair and filled it with love, vibrancy and a speedy recovery for these brave amazing mini people, before sending it off to them.

    Christmas 2013 was a bit different for us.. in a really really good way, and I have my Facebook family to thank for that! We've always wanted to try out Eastern Europe for skiing, so I came to you guys for location ideas. Jasna in Slovakia was by far the most recommended by you all and now there are TEN more satisfied and enthusiastic Slovakia advertisers...
    We may not have been so lucky with snow fall and were only left to dream about what fresh powder of the Tatras National Park would be like, but nevertheless we got an entire week of skiing under own belt. We even managed to visit the most amazing heated outdoor Aquapark Tatralandia, the gorgeous spa and sauna facilities of the Druzba Hotel, late night disco (YES- disco!) at Route 66 and celebrate Christmas the Slovakian way on the 24th. Here are some of my favourite pics:
    Eastern Europe + cold winter + general love of all things meaty… isn’t exactly the best combo for a raw food enthusiast, so I had to come prepared.
    Fruit, veggies and tea- you can get anywhere, but I also travelled with a bottle of Liquid Chlorophyll, my own pH Booster for smoothies and salads, maca capsules, Pura Vida’s breads, my dehydrated pineapple crackers, curried kale chips and granola (from eBook Nourished- Comforting Raw Foods for Winter), a Personal Blender from Tribest and a few other ingredients required for my daily Protein Shake.
